Thailand is a popular holidays destination. Especially during our winter months when it’s dark and cold outside. At the same time in Thailand, the peak season starts! Is it really hard to make a trip to Thailand on your own? How much do we need to spend for flight tickets and accommodation? I am going to show you that in this post!

For many people it seems to be complicated to make a trip to Thailand on their own. Actually, it’s easier than you think! Especially when we go to a very tourist destination like Krabi or Phuket.

In this post I am going to show you how much you need to pay for flight tickets, accommodation and transfers between hotels and airports. I chose Warsaw (WAW) as a start location of our trip. Then, we are flying to Bangkok on board of 5-star airlines – Qatar Airways. In the capital of Thailand, we stay for 3 nights. Then flying to Krabi. Accommodation in Ao Nang for 8 night. Coming back to Bangkok for 2 night. Return flight to Warsaw. It’s just a basic plan to show you much 2 weeks in Thailand may cost. So, let’s start it!

All the prices checked on 7th of July 2019. Travel period is from 11. November to 25. November. Accommodation in double rooms. Calculation for 2 travelers.

Flying from Warsaw to Bangkok. (11. November 2019)

As I mentioned before, I chose Qatar Airways flights from Warsaw to Bangkok.  Actually, for a return ticket we need to pay 1850zł. That’s about 435 euro.

Flight on board of Airbus A330, Boeing 777 and Boeing 787 Dreamliner, with a short stopovers in Doha.

Qatar Airways offers a free seat selection, checked-in luggage, onboard entertainment and meals.

Approaching to Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar

Transfer to hotel in Bangkok.

Landing in Bangkok on 12th of November. Transfer to the hotel by taxi. It shouldn’t cost more that 500THB (approx. 15 euro), so about 7-8 euro per person. Staying in Bangkok for 3 nights.

The Grand Sathorn**** is well located hotel with a nice swimming pool. Close to skytrain station Saphan Taksin and boat terminal Sathorn Pier.

Price per room for 3 nights: 593zł

Price per person: 297zł (approx. 70 euro)

Flying from Bangkok to Krabi

Taking a taxi to Suvarnabhumi Airport (500THB). Flying to Krabi on board of Thai Airways.

Return ticket per person with luggage included: 2660THB, approx. 77 euro.

Transfer from Krabi Airport to Ao Nang: bus – 150THB per person, taxi – 500THB.

Accommodation in Ao Nang Buri Resort****

8 nights in Ao Nang Buri Resort****

Check-in date: 15th November 2019

Check-out date: 23rd November 2019

Price per person: 1082zł (approx. 255 euro)

Flying back to Bangkok, transfer to hotel by taxi, 2 more nights in Bangkok before going back home.

You can stay in the same hotel like before for only 198 zł per person (approx. 47 euro). If you are looking for something more extra for your last days of holidays, you can stay in Baiyoke Sky Hotel with a nice sky bar. Prices starts from 341zł per person (approx. 80 euro).

Transfer to Suvarnabhumi Airport, flying back to Warsaw via Doha, Qatar.

Flying back to Warsaw according to plan posted in the beginning of that post.

To sum up

Flight tickets (Qatar Airways + Thai Airways) – 512 euro per person

Accommodation (3 nights + 8 nights + 2 nights) – 372 euro per person

Transfers between airports and hotels – not more than 45 euro per person

So, as you can see, making Thailand on your own can be very easy! And not so expensive! Of course you can make it even cheaper by finding cheaper hotels for example!

So, see you in Thailand? 🙂
